What is eduroam?

Global access to WIFI: Eduroam is a global collaboration that gives students, researchers and staff access to use the WIFI infrastructure in several hundred locations in Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland and thousands of places in the rest of the world. DeiC is NRO, National Roaming Operator for eduroam in Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

Greenland joins the eduroam community

Situated in Greenland’s capital Nuuk, the institute conducts research into Arctic ecosystems, monitors the living resources and the environment in Greenland and advices the Government of Greenland and other authorities.

Eduroam is a global secure mobility service developed for the academic and research community. The service allows students, researchers and staff of the participating institutions to have Internet in their own campus and when they visit other partner universities and institutions.

Basic Network Infrastructure

In addition to the network infrastructure DeiC also offers a wide range of other network related services. This includes coordination of the global wireless network for research and education, eduroam. 

Universities, research institutions and other public institutions and Danish companies with a considerable amount of research activities may connect to forskningsnettet.
