Three times before, May 2013 in Trondheim, May 2015 in Espoo, and May 2017 in Umeå NeIC has hosted a big bi-annual conference to gather the Nordic e-infrastructure community to come together to share ideas and knowledge, and to discuss and prepare for the future.
In 2019, the three-day event will take place in Copenhagen.
NeIC2019 will be hosted by NeIC and DeiC, and organised in collaboration with CSC, RHnet, SNIC and UNINETT Sigma2.

During a three day course, scientists may learn how to use state of the art tools and methods when developing software for research projects. Among the topics covered are version control systems, modular software development, integrated development environments (IDE's), and how to develop portable code.
The course is part of the Nordic CodeRefinery project which aims to increase the quality of software developed and used by scientists. CodeRefinery is developing an e-infrastructure for software development combined with educating researchers.
NeIC (Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration) develops and operates in e-infrastructure solutions in areas of common Nordic interest. NeIC is a distributed organization comprised of technical experts from high performance computing centers within the Nordic countries.
The collaboration began in 2003. Since 2012 NeIC has been a part of NordForsk, a research organization under the Nordic Council of Ministers.
