Webinar: Presentation of the flagship of the Euro HPC Nordic supercomputers

By Nicolai Devantier , 14/01/21
On February 4, you can learn more about the technical details of the LUMI infrastructure and the great potential of the supercomputer in many different research environments.

In the series of webinars held by DeiC, you can now look forward to a presentation of one of the world's most powerful supercomputers with a focus on research.

LUMI (Large Unified Modern Infrastructure) is a unique European supercomputer initiative where ten countries, including Denmark, together invest in a very large research computer with a top performance of 552 petaflop / s. Danish Universities are part of LUMI with DeiC as administrator.

Behind LUMI is the EuroHPC initiative, a joint effort by the European Commission and 31 countries to establish a world-class ecosystem in the field of supercomputing in Europe. One of the concrete actions of the initiative is to establish three supercomputers, each of which is among the top 10 systems in the world.

The LUMI consortium consists of Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland, which together will build one of these systems in Kajaani, Finland.
